The garage parking was excellent. The steps to the apartment are a bit brutal but manageable with handrails all the way up. The view is so so so worth it. Mattias family is clearly proud of the apartment and they should be. They were probably the most hospitable airbnb hosts I’ve ever had in my 8+ years of airbnbing. It’s perfect for a family. They had a high chair for my daughter and food, snacks, everything we needed. The water is drinkable, showers great, robes were so nice, and plenty of towels and extra blankets! We felt right at home and it made the stay so much better. The welcome book was super helpful in picking activities and restaurants. Thank you again!

The apartment/house is absolutely lovely and... read more has everything you need. It also has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Como. Brienno is a small village where we found everyone to go out of their way to be helpful to us. It is quiet and away from the tourist frenzy of the bigger towns. Yet, Brienno is within easy distance of stores, hiking, swimming, excellent restaurants, and so forth. Finally, Mattia and Marinella are truly kind. Providing lots of information, as well as a cornucopia of treats on the day of arrival.

  Mattia was an extremely gracious host and there were so many thoughtful touches (fresh homemade pasta and bolognese, fruit and local foods presented upon arrival and fresh flowers in every... read more room). The views from every room were spectacular! Beds and furniture were extremely comfortable and beautifully curated in each room. The town is quaint and off the main tourist track.

Mattia was very responsive to all of our questions and messages.

Two very small things I would clarify for anyone booking this space.

1. There were 75-85 cobblestone steps to get to the apartment, a great workout, but could be difficult to access for some guests. (But everywhere on Lake Como has tons of steps)
2. While parking is free, it is on street public parking, so you are not guaranteed nearby parking, especially when the restaurant next door is open.

Overall, I would recommend this space to anyone, it was a perfect space to enjoy the views and culture!

Die Wohnung hat eine gute Größe für uns vier Erwachsene, ein Kleinkind und einen Hund. Die beiden Badezimmer... read more waren sehr praktisch. Es gibt eine Galerie, die für kleine Kinder nicht sicher ist, aber das war kein Problem, denn unser Kind blieb einfach unten oder amüsierte sich in dem schönen kleinen Garten.

Für unseren Hund war die Wohnung auch perfekt, denn es gab den Garten und vor allem war die Wohnung sehr ruhig - die Fenser sind sehr geräuschundurchlässig - die Wände dick, sodass unser Hund auch nie gebellt hat.

Die Betten sind gut und es gibt eine umfangreiche Ausstattung, sodass es uns an nichts gefehlt hat. Zu Begrüßung gab es eine Menge Essen, was unsere Ankunft nach einer längeren Anreise überaus angenehm und entspannt gemacht hat.

Die Umgebung ist toll. Man kann ab der Wohnung schöne Spaziergänge machen oder zu Ausflügen aufbrechen. Wunderbar war der Aufenthalt udn wir kommen gern wieder!

He met us when we arrived and checked us out. He even helped with some of the baby’s stuff. There was a wonderful spread of food when we arrived and we easily had enough for dinner that night and breakfast in the morning. The ferry to Bellagio and Verenna is thirty minutes away in one direction and Como is thirty minutes in the other. The town has an amazing pizzeria called Bri’en Pizza e Cafe and there is a small truck that comes by every morning with fresh goods. Keep in mind that there are quite a few steps to get to the apartment but the journey is worth it.

It is small and full of locals which gives a much more authentic experience than Bellagio or Como. There is a great bar on deck in town which we swam at every single day. I highly recommend this place and hope to return myself one day.
