This was the best AirBnB by far we have ever stayed, host's responsiveness, scenery, fresh flower decorations, easy access to local produce and privacy of the apartment itself were astonishing. Cherry on the top was that our only concern about parking was countered by our host kindly providing access to the easy (by Italian standards) garage just downstairs. Thank you!

The host went out of... read more their way to enhance our stay. The welcome hamper is far beyond anything I’ve had before at an Airbnb, with delicious local produce.
My wife got an infected insect bite, and the next morning Mattia’s parents arrived with repellent, cream for the bite….and a box of pastries!!
The views from all the windows and the relaxing garden are spectacular.
Brienno itself is small with no shop, but the pizza restaurant, small bar and large terrace bar are all excellent and authentic.
It’s a shame the Brienno ferry stop is no longer running, but the buses are semi-regular if you don’t have a car.
We have already recommended this place to friends and would definitely use again if returning to beautiful Como

Easy reachable by car, by the lake and the host is simply one of the best. We used Airbnb for years and Mattia is one of our favorite hosts up to date. Quick with responses, easy to communicate, and very helpful. He supplies you with various amounts of different types of food to end your evening of arrival or start the morning and then you can drive to the nearest supermarket Cetti 15 min by car on a straight road and it has everything. Mattias’ parents gave us a warm welcome upon arrival (even though we had to adjust the arrival time during the day — they were super flexible!). They showed us everything: the flat, the surroundings, where to park — and even had a table reserved for us at a great nearby pizzeria.

The apartment was cozy and well-located, making it an ideal base to explore the beautiful Lago di Como. One tip: avoid long car journeys — instead, take the morning boat from Brienno for a scenic and peaceful ride with stunning lake views.

Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a calm and charming getaway!

He started our visit by saving a parking spot for us before... read more welcoming us to his lovely apartment. There are lake views from every window. It’s bright, clean, and spacious and has a beautiful yard with a lake view. Brienno is a cute town that feels very authentic and non- touristy. There is only one restaurant and no market in town other than a van that comes in the mornings (but not on Sundays). That said, Mattia had quite a bit of food available in the apartment including homemade jams and pasta sauces. There was enough for our family to eat in for most meals. If you plan to visit other towns by ferry, it’s important to note that the ferry only stops in Brienno a few times a day. You can drive to another town nearby to catch it, but parking can be a challenge (both for the ferry and when you return to Brienno). We loved our stay at Mattie’s place and found it quite relaxing and beautiful.
