Easy reachable by car, by the lake and the host is simply one of the best. We used Airbnb for years and Mattia is one of our favorite hosts up to date. Quick with responses, easy to communicate, and very helpful. He supplies you with various amounts of different types of food to end your evening of arrival or start the morning and then you can drive to the nearest supermarket Cetti 15 min by car on a straight road and it has everything. Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with everything. Bathrooms were clean and had great water pressure. The bedrooms were comfortable and good size. The front entrance courtyard was a great place to start the day with breakfast and end the night with a glass of wine. The pizza place down the road played great music in the evening too. We loved the area and explored nearby towns and villages. Rent a boat if you can…the most fantastic end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Thank you Mattia. We cannot wait to return!

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit des Gastgebers. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Abreise wurden wir herzlich umsorgt und mit tollen Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants versorgt. Man spürt, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Hingabe gearbeitet wird.

Die Unterkunft selbst war makellos sauber, gemütlich und bestens ausgestattet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können diesen Ort jedem wärmstens empfehlen!

We will be daydreaming of... read more the long evenings spent drinking wine and relaxing on the terrace overlooking the lake for years after our holiday is over.

Mattia went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible and to make check-in and check-out seamless. We particularly appreciated the quick communication and the extras left in the apartment for us to enjoy. Parking is available on the street in Brienno, and while it is a small commune, there are plenty of parks available and there was only one instance on our three day stay that we had to park about 5-10min walk away (not a big deal - it was a good excuse to walk and admire the town).

If you're staying in the apartment, we wholeheartedly recommend the local pizza restaurant for food and drinks on the rooftop and the cafe at the further end of town where you can rent out day beds and enjoy cocktails on the lake or enjoy a swim.

  Mattia is an amazing host and his apartment is stunning. He is thoughtful and attentive to every detail. He started our visit by saving a parking spot for us before... read more welcoming us to his lovely apartment. There are lake views from every window. It’s bright, clean, and spacious and has a beautiful yard with a lake view. Brienno is a cute town that feels very authentic and non- touristy. There is only one restaurant and no market in town other than a van that comes in the mornings (but not on Sundays). That said, Mattia had quite a bit of food available in the apartment including homemade jams and pasta sauces. There was enough for our family to eat in for most meals. If you plan to visit other towns by ferry, it’s important to note that the ferry only stops in Brienno a few times a day. You can drive to another town nearby to catch it, but parking can be a challenge (both for the ferry and when you return to Brienno). We loved our stay at Mattie’s place and found it quite relaxing and beautiful.
