Mattia helped us with our bags when we arrived, he had a breakfast spread waiting for us to indulge in, essentials were also included in the fridge and pantry and two portacots and high chairs were all set up. We have stayed in many airbnbs and hotels over the years and Mattia’s home is by far the standout. We hope to come back one day, not only because of the great apartment, but Mattias attention to detail made everything so easy for us.

Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with everything. Bathrooms were clean and had great water pressure. The bedrooms were comfortable and good size. The front entrance courtyard was a great place to start the day with breakfast and end the night with a glass of wine. The pizza place down the road played great music in the evening too. We loved the area and explored nearby towns and villages. Rent a boat if you can…the most fantastic end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Thank you Mattia. We cannot wait to return!

I have never had that kind of generosity before from a n Airbnb host. The space is spotless, comfortable, well equipped and so nicely decorated. On arrival, we were greeted with a generous, thoughtful, and unexpected assortment of fresh fruits, sweets, coffee and tea, and a refrigerator stocked with fresh milk, pasta, pesto, and salad so that we could dine in if we chose and so that our morning coffee needs were covered. The linens were lovely, the towels fluffy, and the outdoor patios were a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wine. Brienno itself is absolutely charming, and the more we traveled around, the more we appreciated the incredible views from our apartment and the peace and quiet of the little town. Don't miss the local pizzeria or exploring the labyrinth. I plan to come back to Como with my family and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!

The groceries that... read more Mattia provided were an absolute life-saver and meant the world to us. Brienno is a quiet and pretty village with great old passages to explore near the shore (underneath and around the old buildings that line Via Regina road)… and the views from the property are amazing.

Parking can be a bit tricky in anything larger than an estate car (station wagon), but Mattia helped us with suggestions and instructions about the house’s allocated spot. The fact that Mattia met us and helped with luggage and told us everything we needed to know about the location was absolutely above and beyond.

We would highly recommend this stay to anyone — not just for the great home but also for the wonderful hospitality.
