Zo was er een grohe kraan met bruis en plat water, een buitendouche met nieuwe lig- en zitstoelen, verse eitjes, fruit, koekjes, … zelfs een taart. We voelden ons meteen thuis in deze met trappen bereikbare accommodatie met een prachtig uitzicht.

Brienno is a quiet town, but if you don't want to drive, is easily accessible by bus, and the ferry during the summer. Lake Como lives up to the hype and Brienno is a beautiful and peaceful corner of the lake to enjoy it! Highly reccomend!!

Mattia also helped to make reservations at a restaurant for us and cancel them when we had a last minute change of plans. he was patient and polite throughout.

While the stairs are a climb, we enjoyed the strength it built in our legs and the view is 1000% worth it! The garden is just beautiful and fragrant. We spent our evenings on the patio playing family games, drinking vino rosso and enjoying the gorgeous lake views. Brienno is close enough to the larger towns to get to quickly for day trips, but a far enough from the summer tourists hustle and bustle. We preferred this location. Grazie Mille!

His property is on the top... read more floor so it offers stunning views of the surrounding area, and is exactly as depicted on the website. It does take a good bit of stairs to get up there, so be cautious if you have a lot of bags or are traveling with some one with limited mobility. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge depending on the day, but if you don't mind walking 5 minutes there is something always available. It's about a 30 minute drive to Como, and has multiple ferry stops within 10 minutes, so exploring Lake Como is fairly convenient as well. All in all a beautiful property that I would most certainly go back to!

On arrival, we were greeted with a generous, thoughtful, and unexpected assortment of fresh fruits, sweets, coffee and tea, and a refrigerator stocked with fresh milk, pasta, pesto, and salad so that we could dine in if we chose and so that our morning coffee needs were covered. The linens were lovely, the towels fluffy, and the outdoor patios were a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wine. Brienno itself is absolutely charming, and the more we traveled around, the more we appreciated the incredible views from our apartment and the peace and quiet of the little town. Don't miss the local pizzeria or exploring the labyrinth. I plan to come back to Como with my family and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!

Mattia helped us with our bags when we arrived, he had a breakfast spread waiting for us to indulge in, essentials were also included in the fridge and pantry and two portacots and high chairs were all set up. We have stayed in many airbnbs and hotels over the years and Mattia’s home is by far the standout. We hope to come back one day, not only because of the great apartment, but Mattias attention to detail made everything so easy for us.

Mattias’ parents gave us a warm welcome upon arrival (even though we had to adjust the arrival time during the day — they were super flexible!). They showed us everything: the flat, the surroundings, where to park — and even had a table reserved for us at a great nearby pizzeria.

The apartment was cozy and well-located, making it an ideal base to explore the beautiful Lago di Como. One tip: avoid long car journeys — instead, take the morning boat from Brienno for a scenic and peaceful ride with stunning lake views.

Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a calm and charming getaway!
