Beautiful apartment with stunning view. Enjoyed the environment and the very nice welcome

  This place is "beyond the stars." I gave it a five star rating in every respect, but it is really far beyond five stars. The apartment/house is absolutely lovely and... read more has everything you need. It also has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Como. Brienno is a small village where we found everyone to go out of their way to be helpful to us. It is quiet and away from the tourist frenzy of the bigger towns. Yet, Brienno is within easy distance of stores, hiking, swimming, excellent restaurants, and so forth. Finally, Mattia and Marinella are truly kind. Providing lots of information, as well as a cornucopia of treats on the day of arrival.

Die ungefähr 80 Treppenstufen hinauf zur Wohnung werden mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf den Comersee belohnt. In der Wohnung wurden wir mit diversen Köstlichkeiten empfangen, sodass der erste grosse Einkauf im Lebensmittelgeschäft gut warten konnte. Auch sonst fehlte es an nichts. In der Küche ist mit Geschirr, Küchengeräten, Gewürzen etc. alles vorhanden, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Auch in den Badezimmern waren alle nötigen Utensilien wie Seife, Duschmittel, Toilettenpapier, Frottetücher… vorhanden. Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer waren ebenfalls einwandfrei und aufgeräumt. Der kleine gepflegte Garten mit Elektrogrill, lädt zum verweilen ein. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt, wir kommen wieder!

Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with everything. Bathrooms were clean and had great water pressure. The bedrooms were comfortable and good size. The front entrance courtyard was a great place to start the day with breakfast and end the night with a glass of wine. The pizza place down the road played great music in the evening too. We loved the area and explored nearby towns and villages. Rent a boat if you can…the most fantastic end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Thank you Mattia. We cannot wait to return!

The apartment has an incredible view and was a prefect stop on our trip. Be aware there are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment, but that’s also how you have spectacular views.

Brienno is a quiet & beautiful little town, which has a wonderful pizzeria and a bar open when it’s off season.
Mattia was passionate about his family’s home and his paese. He provides us with a fresh cheeses, meats, eggs, pasta and fruits from local markets, so that we didn’t arrive empty handed. Little things like that is what makes this home so memorable. Ci vediamo presto, Mattia.

Mattias’ parents gave us a warm welcome upon arrival (even though we had to adjust the arrival time during the day — they were super flexible!). They showed us everything: the flat, the surroundings, where to park — and even had a table reserved for us at a great nearby pizzeria.

The apartment was cozy and well-located, making it an ideal base to explore the beautiful Lago di Como. One tip: avoid long car journeys — instead, take the morning boat from Brienno for a scenic and peaceful ride with stunning lake views.

Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a calm and charming getaway!
