The apartment/house is absolutely lovely and... read more has everything you need. It also has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Como. Brienno is a small village where we found everyone to go out of their way to be helpful to us. It is quiet and away from the tourist frenzy of the bigger towns. Yet, Brienno is within easy distance of stores, hiking, swimming, excellent restaurants, and so forth. Finally, Mattia and Marinella are truly kind. Providing lots of information, as well as a cornucopia of treats on the day of arrival.

Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with everything. Bathrooms were clean and had great water pressure. The bedrooms were comfortable and good size. The front entrance courtyard was a great place to start the day with breakfast and end the night with a glass of wine. The pizza place down the road played great music in the evening too. We loved the area and explored nearby towns and villages. Rent a boat if you can…the most fantastic end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Thank you Mattia. We cannot wait to return!

  Our stay was amazing from start to finish! Mattia was so responsive on text that check in was so smooth and easy. We arrived and were shown the garage for... read more parking and then were taken on a tour of the apartment. It was as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, but what really made this a stand out stay was how accommodating and generous Mattia and his family had been. They had left us milk, a few things to put a lovely lunch together, breads, a bottle of wine, things for breakfast, and a home made tart! They are the best air bnb hosts I have ever had - friendly, informative and accommodating. Brienno itself was a beautiful and authentic small town, with loads of swimming places, an amazing pizza restaurant and a fab terraced bar by the water. Close enough to the big towns to be convenient but small enough to be away from crowds and really feel immersed in the Italian experience. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

This is a traditional modern Italian appartment, that is very nice and clean. Everything worked... read more seemlessly from start to end. All pre-information was flawless, and was done orally by Mattia's father Pierluigi, who also helped us to carry up our luggage & kept a parking space for 1 of our cars (we were 2 families).
The family had bought us some food and put in the refrigerator + we got sparkling wine & Pierluigis mother had baked us a cake and left so many other nice things.
The house is equipted with all amenities, and even cold water tap in the kitchen, even with sparkling water if you want.
The only downside we found was the stairs leading to the apartment - it is 81 steps, so if you're not in good condition, this is not for you - we actually enjoyed the excercise 🙂

Very, very quiet so you'll need to be prepared to use your car to get to restaurants as there's a lively pizza place within 100 yards and that's it except for bar on the lake. The welcome basket was amazing. Gracious, responsive service especially helping with some restaurant reservations. Lots of space to relax. Nice outdoor garden although we didn't use it much. If you want to be able to walk to loads of restaurants this is not the village to stay in, but if you want a quieter place for touring around then you can't go wrong.

The steps up to the apartment could be... read more challenging for some but we enjoyed the daily exercise they required. The town of Brienno is interesting, quiet and quaint and well connected. It is well situated allowing easy exploration of what Lake Como has to offer. Nearby Argegno has a nice selection of restaurants and great boat connections as well as boat hire.

Mattia and his Mum & Dad are fantastic hosts doing everything they can to make life easy. The welcome hamper was fabulous and the kitchen was well stocked with condiments, oils, etc, etc.

We hope to return!!
