It’s bright, clean, and spacious and has a beautiful yard with a lake view. Brienno is a cute town that feels very authentic and non- touristy. There is only one restaurant and no market in town other than a van that comes in the mornings (but not on Sundays). That said, Mattia had quite a bit of food available in the apartment including homemade jams and pasta sauces. There was enough for our family to eat in for most meals. If you plan to visit other towns by ferry, it’s important to note that the ferry only stops in Brienno a few times a day. You can drive to another town nearby to catch it, but parking can be a challenge (both for the ferry and when you return to Brienno). We loved our stay at Mattie’s place and found it quite relaxing and beautiful.

  We found Mattia's home and neighborhood to be the relaxing getaway we hoped for at Lake Como. We were greeted by Mattia's kind parents who helped us with luggage... read more up the stairs, gave a tour of their charming home, and welcomed us with a gift of wonderful fresh fruit, eggs and delightful local Italian treats that we snacked on during our stay. While the stairs are a climb, we enjoyed the strength it built in our legs and the view is 1000% worth it! The garden is just beautiful and fragrant. We spent our evenings on the patio playing family games, drinking vino rosso and enjoying the gorgeous lake views. Brienno is close enough to the larger towns to get to quickly for day trips, but a far enough from the summer tourists hustle and bustle. We preferred this location. Grazie Mille!

The garage parking was excellent. The steps to the apartment are a bit brutal but manageable with handrails all the way up. The view is so so so worth it. Mattias family is clearly proud of the apartment and they should be. They were probably the most hospitable airbnb hosts I’ve ever had in my 8+ years of airbnbing. It’s perfect for a family. They had a high chair for my daughter and food, snacks, everything we needed. The water is drinkable, showers great, robes were so nice, and plenty of towels and extra blankets! We felt right at home and it made the stay so much better. The welcome book was super helpful in picking activities and restaurants. Thank you again!

Mattia hat sich nach unserer Ankunftszeit erkundigt und uns vor... read more Ort pünktlich und persönlich für die Schlüsselübergabe empfangen. Die ungefähr 80 Treppenstufen hinauf zur Wohnung werden mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf den Comersee belohnt. In der Wohnung wurden wir mit diversen Köstlichkeiten empfangen, sodass der erste grosse Einkauf im Lebensmittelgeschäft gut warten konnte. Auch sonst fehlte es an nichts. In der Küche ist mit Geschirr, Küchengeräten, Gewürzen etc. alles vorhanden, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Auch in den Badezimmern waren alle nötigen Utensilien wie Seife, Duschmittel, Toilettenpapier, Frottetücher… vorhanden. Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer waren ebenfalls einwandfrei und aufgeräumt. Der kleine gepflegte Garten mit Elektrogrill, lädt zum verweilen ein. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt, wir kommen wieder!

De accommodatie was heel erg goed uitgerust met oog voor detail . Zo was er een grohe kraan met bruis en plat water, een buitendouche met nieuwe lig- en zitstoelen, verse eitjes, fruit, koekjes, … zelfs een taart. We voelden ons meteen thuis in deze met trappen bereikbare accommodatie met een prachtig uitzicht.

Very, very quiet so you'll need to be prepared to use your car to get to restaurants as there's a lively pizza place within 100 yards and that's it except for bar on the lake. The welcome basket was amazing. Gracious, responsive service especially helping with some restaurant reservations. Lots of space to relax. Nice outdoor garden although we didn't use it much. If you want to be able to walk to loads of restaurants this is not the village to stay in, but if you want a quieter place for touring around then you can't go wrong.

Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with everything. Bathrooms were clean and had great water pressure. The bedrooms were comfortable and good size. The front entrance courtyard was a great place to start the day with breakfast and end the night with a glass of wine. The pizza place down the road played great music in the evening too. We loved the area and explored nearby towns and villages. Rent a boat if you can…the most fantastic end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Thank you Mattia. We cannot wait to return!
