  This home in the Lake Como area is truly amazing. There are so many special touches it’s hard to list them all. Among our favorites things... read more were the beautiful space itself (a lot of love went into remodeling and decorating this apartment), the homemade pesto and bolognese sauces given to us at check-in with fresh pastas for each sauce, fresh eggs, prosciutto and bread - we didn't need to get to the market for several days. The space itself is really clean, lovingly cared for and has beautiful views of the lake from all rooms and the garden area. And, it’s super quiet - you’ll sleep like a baby.

Thanks so much for everything Mattia. We've stayed in a number of Airbnb's around the world and you are an amazing host. Thank you made our first trip to Lake Como very special.

We stayed here for the... read more week prior to our wedding and words could not describe our gratitude for the way they went above and beyond to make this a magical experience for us!

Regarding the stay: The breakfast they include is marvelous and they went above and beyond to even provide a fresh breakfast on the morning of our wedding! The home itself is a bit hard to reach (a lot of steps uphill, so not for the faint of heart), but gosh is it worth it! The views are amazing in this essentially 360-view home; like, really - breathtaking to watch the sun rise and set. We found the bell-tower quite charming and was not disruptive at all with the windows closed. We were never short on any food, drink, amenity, or space. They think of literally everything - even down to items for children if you have any. The space is comfortable, the AC is great, and everywhere was very clean. The home itself is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Truly one of the best Airbnb experiences of anyone who came to our wedding, and one of our very favorites ever! Although the historic town of Brienno itself does not have too much to offer, it's located very ideally on the lake and not far from any major town or ferry port! Furthermore, Mattia's family provided us with great spots both near and far for food! This stay is perfection as far as one can go for Airbnbs on the lake!

Regarding the hosts: We could write a novel on our gratitude towards Mattia and his parents. To our complete surprise, Mattia's family decorated the entire home since they heard we were staying there for our wedding! Not only that, Marinella hand-painted and embroidered special items for us and Pierluigi literally hammered a nail into a beam in the home just so my wedding dress could hang fully!! They even left fresh food for an easy, authentic Italian dinner for our first night (which of course lasted much longer than that)! Their thoughtfulness even extended to securing us a coveted dinner reservation and arranging for a private taxi for us to get there. Unfortunately, during our time on the lake and our wedding, we encountered a taxi strike and there were no cars to rent in all of Como. And as if their kindness was not already overwhelming enough - Mattia's family literally rented their own car to us just so our stay wouldn't be ruined (And it quite literally would have been ruined without it)!

Although we can't guarantee you will experience this exact time with them that we did, we know that this is all a testament to their character. They are thoughtful, detail-oriented, attentive, and kind. This stay is beautiful, well-priced, and actually worth the inevitable hike up stairs you will encounter on the lake. We will forever remember this amazing stay and family!

Brienno is a quiet town, but if you don't want to drive, is easily accessible by bus, and the ferry during the summer. Lake Como lives up to the hype and Brienno is a beautiful and peaceful corner of the lake to enjoy it! Highly reccomend!!

Mattias’ parents gave us a warm welcome upon arrival (even though we had to adjust the arrival time during the day — they were super flexible!). They showed us everything: the flat, the surroundings, where to park — and even had a table reserved for us at a great nearby pizzeria.

The apartment was cozy and well-located, making it an ideal base to explore the beautiful Lago di Como. One tip: avoid long car journeys — instead, take the morning boat from Brienno for a scenic and peaceful ride with stunning lake views.

Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a calm and charming getaway!

Brienno is a quiet and pretty village with great old passages to explore near the shore (underneath and around the old buildings that line Via Regina road)… and the views from the property are amazing.

Parking can be a bit tricky in anything larger than an estate car (station wagon), but Mattia helped us with suggestions and instructions about the house’s allocated spot. The fact that Mattia met us and helped with luggage and told us everything we needed to know about the location was absolutely above and beyond.

We would highly recommend this stay to anyone — not just for the great home but also for the wonderful hospitality.

Very, very quiet so you'll need to be prepared to use your car to get to restaurants as there's a lively pizza place within 100 yards and that's it except for bar on the lake. The welcome basket was amazing. Gracious, responsive service especially helping with some restaurant reservations. Lots of space to relax. Nice outdoor garden although we didn't use it much. If you want to be able to walk to loads of restaurants this is not the village to stay in, but if you want a quieter place for touring around then you can't go wrong.

Die Wohnung entspricht zu 100% der Beschreibung und der Ausblick auf den See ist toll. Wunderbar auch, dass der Verkehr um den Ort mit einem Tunnel herum gelenkt wird. So ist es ganz ruhig im Ort.
Alles zum Weiterempfehlen!!! Mattia und Familie machen einen hervorragenden Job!
