My wife got an infected insect bite, and the next morning Mattia’s parents arrived with repellent, cream for the bite….and a box of pastries!!
The views from all the windows and the relaxing garden are spectacular.
Brienno itself is small with no shop, but the pizza restaurant, small bar and large terrace bar are all excellent and authentic.
It’s a shame the Brienno ferry stop is no longer running, but the buses are semi-regular if you don’t have a car.
We have already recommended this place to friends and would definitely use again if returning to beautiful Como

The groceries that... read more Mattia provided were an absolute life-saver and meant the world to us. Brienno is a quiet and pretty village with great old passages to explore near the shore (underneath and around the old buildings that line Via Regina road)… and the views from the property are amazing.

Parking can be a bit tricky in anything larger than an estate car (station wagon), but Mattia helped us with suggestions and instructions about the house’s allocated spot. The fact that Mattia met us and helped with luggage and told us everything we needed to know about the location was absolutely above and beyond.

We would highly recommend this stay to anyone — not just for the great home but also for the wonderful hospitality.

  This home in the Lake Como area is truly amazing. There are so many special touches it’s hard to list them all. Among our favorites things... read more were the beautiful space itself (a lot of love went into remodeling and decorating this apartment), the homemade pesto and bolognese sauces given to us at check-in with fresh pastas for each sauce, fresh eggs, prosciutto and bread - we didn't need to get to the market for several days. The space itself is really clean, lovingly cared for and has beautiful views of the lake from all rooms and the garden area. And, it’s super quiet - you’ll sleep like a baby.

  A fantastic property in a beautiful, quiet section of Lake Como! Mattia was a great host who accommodated my changing travel plans. His property is on the top... read more floor so it offers stunning views of the surrounding area, and is exactly as depicted on the website. It does take a good bit of stairs to get up there, so be cautious if you have a lot of bags or are traveling with some one with limited mobility. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge depending on the day, but if you don't mind walking 5 minutes there is something always available. It's about a 30 minute drive to Como, and has multiple ferry stops within 10 minutes, so exploring Lake Como is fairly convenient as well. All in all a beautiful property that I would most certainly go back to!

I have never had that kind of generosity before from a n Airbnb host. The space is spotless, comfortable, well equipped and so nicely decorated. Having a washing machine was a huge plus for us as this came half way through a 2-week trip. Cannot say enough wonderful things. Highly recommend!!
